B2: Upper Intermediate Level

Duration: 3.5 months

The B2 level signifies a transition from functional proficiency to sophisticated, independent language use. Building on the strong foundation laid in A1–B1, learners at this stage are equipped to comprehend and express more abstract ideas across academic, professional, and cultural domains.

Instruction at this level focuses on nuanced linguistic competence and deeper intellectual engagement:

  • Analytical writing, including structured arguments, critical essays, and commentaries on cultural and social themes
  • Discussion forums and debates that encourage spontaneous articulation of complex viewpoints
  • Advanced reading materials, such as editorials, literary excerpts, and academic texts to develop interpretive skills
  • Collaborative projects that involve research, presentation, and intercultural exchange

Learners are expected to manage real-world communication in demanding situations—be it in higher education, the workplace, or international contexts.

International B2 certification demonstrates a capacity for independent thought, nuanced expression, and an ability to interact competently within German-speaking environments. It serves as a key qualification for university admission and professional mobility across German-speaking regions.

About Us

Although there is a growing trend in international emigration from states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu, especially among youth seeking education and employment abroad, students and individuals from poor and marginalized communities remain largely excluded. Barriers such as lack of funding, awareness, and access to essential information prevent them from pursuing global education and career paths.

Recognizing this critical gap and the need for safe migration, language proficiency, and cultural integration, the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum located at the sea coast of Kerala, south India established the Waves International Language Learning (WILL) Centre through Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS), which is the social action wing of the Archdiocese in order to equip the aspirants especially from disadvantaged backgrounds with the language skills and cultural integration primarily required to thrive in international academic and work environments promoting inclusive access to global opportunities, ensuring no one is left behind due to their socio-economic status.
